Notice of Nominations
Nominations for the office of Executive Vice President of Local 3871 will be conducted at the monthly membership meeting on Tuesday April 7th, at 7:00 p.m. EST at the CWA Local Union office. The address is 5074 Bluff City Highway, Bluff City, TN 37618 the meeting will be held downstairs. The term of office will be for the remainder of time of the current term which started on January 1st,2024 and will end on December 31st, 2026.
The election committee will open nominations from the floor. Any member in good standing may be nominated provided the nominee is a member in good standing. The nomination must be seconded, and the nominee must accept the nomination. Any member in good standing may also self-nominate as long as there is a second. If a member in good standing is not able to attend due to work schedule please reach out to Samantha Luna or Timothy Mullady at least 24 hours prior to the above-mentioned nomination date of April 7th, 2026, so arrangements can be made for those wanting to participate in the nominations. Nominees do not have to be present to be nominated. If not present and a nominee wishes to accept their nomination they must provide the acceptance of the nomination in writing to the Locals Secretary-Treasurer no later than 12:00 PM EST April 10th, 2026. Write in’s will not be allowed. The ballots for the election will be mailed April 10th, 2026, to the address the Local has on file. Please email Samantha Luna at president@unionforever3871.com or Timothy Mullady at secretary.treasurer3871@gmail.com , to confirm and/or correct your mailing address. Ballots will need to be mailed and postmarked back to the Local’s P.O. Box no later than May 4th, 2026. The election will be conducted on May 8th, 2026, by the counting of ballots. Additional information/instructions will be mailed later if needed.
